About Serein'Age

Who are we

Mission

We support both older adults and their children. Aware that not all families can be present with their parents at all times, we are committed to providing peace of mind by caring for their essential needs and promoting their well-being every day.

Values

We care as if every client were part of our own family, providing the same attentive support to everyone while honoring their dignity.

Why us

Because in an ideal and perfect world, we would offer our services free of charge. From a good heart, we hope that our patients and their families understand that what we do is much more than just a job for us.

About the Owner:

My name is Océane Pigeon, and it would be my pleasure to care for you or for someone close to your heart. I understand that it can be difficult to trust a stranger with the daily care of your loved ones. It means entrusting them with the responsibility for their well-being without truly knowing them. You may be wondering if they will provide the same level of care, attention, and love that you would. It is also natural to feel uneasy about inviting a new person into such an important and personal part of your life.

At Serein’Âge, our main goal is to ease these concerns. I know it is easy to say, which is why I invite you to read more about my journey and my passion for the well-being of seniors, how it began and how it continues today with Serein’Âge.

In 2020, at the age of 14, I began my first job at Manoir Rockland, located at 9045 County Road 17, working as a server. I quickly fell in love with seniors. The wisdom they share, the stories they tell, and the sense of comfort and stability they bring remind me of my roots and the importance of family. Over the years, I worked many hours in different roles—whether in the kitchen, at reception, during activities, or as an attendant. I built strong connections with both residents and their families.

In 2024, I was given an opportunity that changed my life. A woman whose mother lived at the Manoir asked me to spend one-on-one time with her mom outside of my regular work hours. Thanks to her, word began to spread, and more people started asking for my services. To this day, I continue to spend time with her and with others.

I had long dreamed of offering my services full-time, sharing this joy with those who need it most, and giving peace of mind to families who deserve to know that their loved ones are in good hands, allowing them to focus on other parts of their personal lives during that time. I also took part in a competition with other young entrepreneurs through my school board, “Les dragons du CSDCEO.” I won a $2,400 grant after presenting my business idea to the judges. This funding allowed me to purchase essential items to enrich my visits with clients (such as cognitive games and therapeutic stuffed animals).

In closing, I want you to know how deeply this business means to me, not only for myself, but for the good of the people around me. I hope you will see, as I do, that in a perfect world I would gladly offer these services for free, because this is more than just a job to me. Trust in the value of what we do together, and remember: every age deserves serenity.
